Mahalapye: The Miss RADP 2023 and Mr RADP Fashion show contests, which took place at Mahalapye Community Hall on 28 October 2023 was fun filled. The event featured 15 contestants and of that number 9 were girls for the Miss RADP beauty contest whilst 6 boys battled out in the Mr RADP Fashion show. The results for the pageant are:
Miss RADP 2023: The winner of the Miss RADP 2023 pageant is Gomolemo Molwanta. She is a 19-year-old from Mokgenene village. Gomolemo recieved a crown and received a cash prize of P5000.00 courtesy of Letlole La Rona Limited (LLR).
She will represent Mahalapye District Council in the national beauty contest in Gaborone on November 25. The Mahalapye Miss RADP will compete against contestants from other districts.
The first princess is Katlego Boitshwarelo, 24, of Moralane. The first runner up won P2500.00. The second princess is Gillian Motsamai, 22, also from Mokgenene. The second runner up received a cash prize of P1500.00. The other contestants received consolation prizes of P1000.00 each. Letlole La Rona Limited spent P15,000.00 for prizes in the girls’ category.
Mr RADP Fashion Show: The winner of the Mr RADP Fashion Show is Omponye Kearate, 22, from Mokgenene. Omponye received a cash prize of P5000.00. The first prince is Phenyo Kgotlaesele, 23, of Otse, who won P2500.00.
The second prince is Aobakwe Mojamatlho, 18, from Mokgenene, who won P1500.00. The other three contestants received consolation prizes of P1000.00 each. For the Mr RADP Fashion Show, the sponsors Letlole La Rona Limited spent P12,000.00 on cash prizes.
The sponsors, Letlole La Rona spent a total of P27,000.00 in cash prizes for both contests. This kind of involvement can have a positive impact on the lives of those involved and contribute to the development of the community. Additionally, the MDC wish to thank all the stakeholders who contributed both in kind and monetary for the success of the event.
