Mahikeng swift services hit Ratlou: speedy delivery launching November 24th

Mahikeng: In a concerted effort to boost and ensure accelerated delivery of basic services to the people of North West, the provincial government will on Friday, 24 November, take services to residents of Ratlou Local Municipality, which falls under Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, as part of the lauded Accelerated Service Delivery Programme - Thuntsha Lerole.

Mahikeng: In a concerted effort to boost and ensure accelerated delivery of basic services to the people of North West, the provincial government will on Friday, 24 November, take services to residents of Ratlou Local Municipality, which falls under Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, as part of the lauded Accelerated Service Delivery Programme – Thuntsha Lerole.

Key service delivery activities which will be carried out on the day include the official opening of road Z482 from Madibogo to Madibogopan, which has been upgraded from gravel to tar, official reopening of a refurbished Lesego Digital clinic, handing over of a renovated National School Nutrition Programme kitchen to Mmadisebo Primary School in Madibogo and handing over of a livestock handling facility which will benefit livestock farmers in Madibogo village.

Other services will include:

  • The distribution of cellphones and routers to principals of local schools.
  • Handing over of sporting and recreation equipment to identified schools and older persons’ clubs.
  • Conducting consumer education and registration of indigents, registration and updating of local businesses details on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
  • Online application for IDs and social support services.
  • Consumer inspections and the provision of agricultural support services to identified needy families.

Phase 2 of the Accelerated Service Delivery Programme – Thuntsha Lerole is currently being rolled out to local municipalities across the province, led by the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Patrick Dumile Nono Maloyi in his capacity as the Leader of Government Business.  

The focus is on enhancing the municipalities’ basic infrastructure, monitoring and enforcing consumer compliance and community development services, which different government departments and state-owned entities provide in a coordinated and collaborative way.

As a constant and critical feature of this service delivery programme, a platform will be created for the Leader of Government Business, MEC Maloyi and other MECs to engage with the community on progress registered in implementing various service delivery projects and programmes. This community feedback session will be held after the MECs visit various service delivery sites. Â
