South Africa: The body of a 28 year old man was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds outside a tavern in Mngwana – KZN this afternoon (Wednesday).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Centre received multiple calls from the public requesting medical assistance for the unresponsive male. Reaction Officers & RUSA Medics were immediately dispatched and arrived on the scene at approximately 19:32.
The body of a man was discovered on an unpaved road. He was shot twice in the head, twice in the chest and once on his right arm. He showed no signs of life and was declared deceased. Five spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.
Residents from the area informed Reaction Officers (RUSA) that they heard a volley of shots in the area. Upon investigation, they discovered the unresponsive male. The motive for the shooting could not be confirmed.
The deceased was a self employed brick manufacturer who lived in the area.
