South Africa: The two day Film and Video festival is the first event in the lineup of the Mapungubwe Art Festival, which will be hosted on November 20 and November 21. The members of the community, who have a talent for filmmaking and video making have been invited to be a part of the event.
The leaders have shared that the event will be hosted the library gardens for the two-day event for the event. The officials have shared that the filmmakers have been urged to submit their entries for the festival by November 19.
The Film and Video Festival will be a platform to promote and highlight the creatives of Limpopo through their work. The officials have shared the rules of the film and video festival and announced that the entry to the venue will be free of cost.
The officials have shared that the members of the community come together to witness the talent in the Limpopo Province. The organizers of the event have called the event was a cinematic journey through the rich storytelling of Limpopo.
The people of the country can watch films from different districts, showcasing the province’s vibrant culture and talent. The rules and criteria for the submission is as follows:
- Both Fiction and Non-fiction films are accepted
- Short films, minimum of 10mins Feature-length films, maximum of 60mins
- The film should have a Limpopo DNA
- The film should be produced by a Limpopo-based filmmaker
- The film must have been produced in Limpopo
- The film must not be more than 5 years old
- Films submission must be done online through a Google-Drive link https://forms.gle/gGJmq6AwWoHqKqkNA
- Films by People Living With Disabilities are encouraged to submit
Filmmakers must ensure they include the following in their submissions:
Full Film File in either, mov, mp4 or mpeg4 format (maximum file of 2GB) Film Title, Duration, FPB Rating (where applicable), Genre, Synopsis and Filmmaker’s Details Selected filmmakers will be required to submit high resolution full film files, film trailers, film posters and filmmakers’ head & should pictures
