“Her win translates to many wins in society. It proves that women and girls are highly skilled and can occupy any space in society. We wish coach Ellis further success in her role and we are confident that her set of skills will continue to benefit women in sports,” added the Minister.

“I wish to take this opportunity to wish the National Women’s Soccer Team the best of luck as they take on Morocco this weekend. I plead that South Africans tune in to watch the game and support our team as they fly the South African flag high,” concluded the Minister.
