Muthama dismisses Azimio One Kenya Alliance, claims to have no impact

Nairobi: According to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, Chairman Johnson Muthama’ that, most of the Azimo One Kenya Alliance coalition “does not affect the Kenya politics’. He also pointed out that the move did not catch the surprise.

Muthama stated that the new members, including Wiper’s, Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU’s Gideon Moi, Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua and UDP’s Cyrus Jirongo, are in charge of what he termed “lone ranger briefcase political outfits.”

Furthermore, UDA Chairman noted that he had anticipated the alliance formation nearly two months ago. At the same time, he pointed out that the new political formation does not guarantee that their opponents will determine the country’s top seat.

In his tweet, he mentioned that It is ridiculous how some quarters are chest-thumping and celebrating like they already won the presidency. OKA joining Azimo was expected. I told it nearly two months ago. I even revealed the price.

Muthama’s remarks come a day after Jubilee Party and ODM convened separate National delegates Conventions to endorse Azimio la Umoja’s Presidential candidate Raila Odinga to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 9 polls.

It’s hard for you guys to see the unity; President Kenyatta graced the Opposition party’s National Delegates Convention (NDC) at Kasarani stadium after following a similar meeting at KICC Odinga equally attended.

Raila had earlier attended his NDC in Kasarani before he left to left to join Kenyatta at his Jubilee NDC; this is a rare show of unity for the two political leaders who worked jointly since March 2018 when they held a hand to end their enmity that revved after Kenyatta defeated Odinga in a presidential election.

“We are revealing Azimio One Kenya Alliance, and we will defeat them, Kenyatta stated during a meeting.”

However, Jubilee and ODM have already signed their contracts with various parties, which will be going to come under the new team.

On Friday, wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, an OKA principal, stated that they would first sign a partnership agreement amongst themselves and deposit it with the Registrar of Political Parties before signing another with the Azimio team.
