The Executive Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Onengiyeofori George, DSSRS, has addressed the chieftaincy installation dispute in the Angulama Community. The executive chairman has taken what is being hailed as a decisive action to address the situation.
Chairman Onengiyeofori hosted a meeting with various high-level officials and stakeholders of the community. The aim of the meeting was to maintain a peaceful and stable environment in the community.
The meeting was held at the Executive Conference Hall in Buguma City. The attendants included security service chiefs, members of the Executive Council, as well as chiefs and youths from the Angulama Community.
During the meeting, the Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to upholding peace. He also pledged to foster harmonious coexistence throughout the local government area.
The Executive Chairperson of the Local Government Area listened to all parties involved in the dispute occasioned by the chieftaincy installation. Afterwards, the Executive Chairman earnestly implored all parties to prioritize peace and set aside personal interests.
He advised those embroiled in the conflict to take the necessary steps to ensure that unity prevails in the area. The chairman facilitated the meeting to ensure that the dispute does not escalate and cause harm.
In his response, Chief Kelsey D. Omungu Akpa, the Regent of Angulama Community, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Chairman. He thanked chairman George Onengiyeofori for his timely intervention in restoring peace to Angulama.
Furthermore, he pledged to continue to uphold peace within the community moving forward, following the Executive Chairman’s directives. The members of the community extended their heartfelt best wishes to Onengiyeofori George, DSSRS, for bringing the dispute to a peaceful conclusion.
