Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (#ZITF 2024) is an event that showcase a diverse range of opportunities to promote the innovation. The annual Trade Fair creates job opportunities and maintains sustainable development with the prime focus on the pivotal figure of the entrepreneur.
#ZITF 2024 is celebrating its 64th edition that has commenced on April 23, 2024 and will conclude on April 27, 2024 under the theme of “Entrepreneurship: A Catalyst for Industrialization and Trade.”
The five-day event recognizes the crucial role of entrepreneurship in stimulating economic growth, by fostering innovation and driving industrialization and trade, following the selected theme.
Team Tourism at #ZITF2024 on the very first day engaged with the visitors on various aspects of tourism clusters from MICE & business tourism. It also considers the religious tourism, rural tourism, medical tourism, recreation & holiday tourism, visiting friends & relatives.
Diplomatic & expatriates’ tourism, culture & heritage, sports & study tourism, nature and wildlife tourism were also included.
Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd also attended the #ZITF2024 and brainstormed the visitors on how innovative entrepreneurs can benefit from the waste management solutions, turning trash into treasure. Radio Broadcast channel ZiFM Stereo was also present at the Trade Fair event.
On the second day of the fair aviation played an important role in boosting the tourism industry & contributing significantly in the growth of the tourism economy. Eventually, the growth of aviation is the growth of tourism.
Moreover, Zimbabwe skies are open for airlines and Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe and continues to facilitate the more airlines, that are yet to come to the destination and will promote the tourism, investment and trade.
Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry – Barbara Rwodzi actively engaged with the tourism players and stakeholders while promoting the Zimbabwe’s tourism on Day-2 of ZITF-24.
The minister took the tour of several stands that included the Airports Company of Zimbabwe, along with the School of Tourism and Hospitality, Mutare Polytechnic, National Biotechnology Authority, National Handling Services and also the Terrace Africa.
Rwodzi praised Mutare Polytechnic for its innovative designs using the National Fabric. The designs highlighted the creative productivity by Hute Wine and Madhumbe cookies from indigenous products which are supporting the rich culture and heritage of Zimbabwe.
Reportedly, the National Fabric was surely drawing the crowd to the Zimbabwe Tourism Stand at ZITF 2024.
Barbara Rwodzi along with the Deputy Minister Tongai Mnangagwa made the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development – Prof Amon Murwira and the Minister of the State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution Advocate – Mischeck Mugadza, tour around the Zimbabwe Tourism Stand.
The another thing to look for at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair is the captivating National Dress, which is an important aspect and representation of the culture and heritage cluster that reflects the history, identity and values of a community that depicts the national pride.
