Spanish reports confirmed that Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is planning to leave Spain after his separation from his Colombian partner Shakira.
According to the media reports, Pique seeks to escape the hell he suffers in Spain due to the intrusion into his private life, noting that the player’s lawyer had issued an official statement earlier in which he confirmed the prosecution of the media that promoted incorrect news about Pique regarding his personal life.
In the same regard, the Spanish media reports also confirmed that Barcelona does not mind the departure of Pique in light of the player’s departure from the basic formation and the lack of reliance on him by Barca coach Xavi Hernandez in official matches, and also to provide his huge salary on the other hand, given that he received nearly 28 million euros per season.
And Pique appeared in recent weeks with his new partner, Clara Chia Marti, who is 12 years younger than him, after his separation from Shakira by three months.
It is reported that Shakira and Gerrard announced during the past few months the end of their 11-year relationship.
