St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew has shared some images from the office of the Prime Minister. He was proud to announce that the office was now home to paintings made by youngsters from around the federation.
He also highlighted that the artworks were a part of the exhibition which was hosted during the previous year’s youth month celebration. The officials have shared that the leader said that the youngest artist whose work was featured in the PMO was only ten years old.
The office boasts an impressive collection of paintings, all of whom reflect on the theme of sustainability and climate change. The paintings are a way for the youth to reflect on the issue of climate change.
Climate action is the need of the hour for the people. PM Terrance Drew maintains that it is the responsibility of the nations to come together to make a real difference in this regard. Taking to his social media, PM Drew recalled that the artwork reflects the vision of a sustainable island state.
At the same time, the paintings also highlight the island’s natural beauty. St Kitts and Nevis is the smallest island nation in the western hemisphere. It is one of the most beautiful islands in the world, boasting remarkable views, hospitality and warmth of its people.
The island has been a go to for tourists looking to spend time in the beauty of the Caribbean. The event serves as a reminder of the potential and creativity within our youth. PM Terrance Drew was proud of the talent of the youngsters.
He also highlighted that the conference room in Government Headquarters also features a stunning mural by Sasha, a kittitian artist.
PM Drew recalled that Department of Youth Empowerment’s Youth Art Exhibition held last November was a resounding success. The leaders recalled that the exhibition was visited by several nationals.
The paintings highlight the continued commitment of St Kitts and Nevis towards Climate action and continued beautification of the island.
