St Kitts: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew shared some images from the next edition of the community conversations for the 90-Day Campaign Against Violence and Crime. The programme is being hosted all over the federation including the sister island of Nevis.

The most recent edition of the meeting was hosted on Wednesday. The Citizen security community conversations invites members of the community to provide feedback on the government’s efforts to fight crime and violence.

The administration is working hard to make sure that the criminal offenses within the federation are controlled through timely interventions. The community can also find their way to support the government in their mandate to protect the country from crime and violence.

PM Drew extended his gratitude to the members of the community who attended the recent meeting hosted at the Bronte Welsh Primary School. The officials have shared that the meetings invite people from all communities of the federation.

People of all ages are welcome to offer their support and observations with the law enforcement stakeholders. The leaders said that during the 90 day campaign, they will work hard to implement all the suggestions made by the community.

The officials have shared that they want to understand the causes, consequences and solutions  for the issues that they are facing together. The members of the organization have shared that the 90 day campaign was officially launched in September.

The three month Citizen security community conversations will continue to support the prevention of crime and violence. The campaign is helmed by citizen Security Task Force  in the Prime Minister’s office.

The authorities involved in the project seek to understand how the community can support the government’s mandate of reducing crime statistics within the federation.

The first session for this campaign was conducted on Monday, October 07, 2024 at St. Peter’s Community Centre. The members of the community were encouraged to give suggestions to improve crime fighting techniques.

The meetings will coninue for the rest of the year, with meetings hosted in various venues across the federation.
