South Africa: President Cyril Ramaphosa has released an official New Year message for the year 2025. He addressed the whole nation with his vibrant words and encouraged them to achieve more this new year.
SA President Ramaphosa said that in 2024, the nation has marked 30 years of democracy. Together they have celebrated electoral progress and have formed a Government of National Unity.
According to him, economic growth, job creation as well as infrastructure investment and reduced load shedding has marked the year. For him efforts to tackle crime, corruption and gender-based violence has intensified.
Ramaphosa expressed, as we enter in 2025, the nation remains focused on unity, development and more on hosting the G20 Summit. He wished, “May the new year bring prosperity, peace and a brighter future for all.”
He added that as they celebrated the progress made in building a society founded on the ideals of freedom, equality and human rights. On May 29, 2024, they have held the seventh democratic elections, peacefully and freely.
People of South Africa has voted for the representatives of their choice. They have given voice to their concerns, aspirations and expectations. He stated further that people of South Africa through their votes have called on political parties to put their differences aside and to work together to put the country first.
Elected as a public representative and acting on the outcomes of the elections, it gave no single party to an outright majority in governing South Africa on its own. They heeded the clear message from the people.

They established the Government of National Unity and brought together the parties from across the political spectrum. The party is made up of adjoining 10 political parties and are committed through the Statement of Intent that it has adopted to grow an inclusive economy and create more jobs.
GNU has committed itself to reduce the poverty and lower the living cost. The parties are all working together to strengthen the capacity of the nation to deliver services to the residentials. The establishment of the party has enabled South Africa to enter a new era that holds great promises.
President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa concluded his address by saying that in 2025, they will be hosting the first G20 Summit on African Soil. Through their leadership for G20 they will work for solidarity, equality and sustainable development which will have an impact on many people around the world.
