Ghana: President John Dramani Mahama formally welcomed the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr. Terrance Drew to the Jubilee House in Accra on Wednesday, March 04, 2026. He went as a part of official state visit to the West African nation.
Upon his arrival at Jubilee House, PM Drew was received with full military honours during an official welcoming ceremony which was hosted by President Mahama. The ceremony included a parade mounted by the Ghana Air Force that symbolised the respect and friendship between the two nations.
During this significant visit, PM Terrance Drew participated in a symbolic tree-planting ceremony at the Presidential Garden in Accra, Ghana. This moment formed part of the official programme following the bilateral discussions with President John Dramani Mahama and highlighted the growing friendship and shared commitment to sustainable development between the two nations.
Following the national anthems played, of Ghana and St. Kitts and Nevis, Prime Minister Drew proceeded for official introductions with members of the delegations and inspected the Guard of Honour.
This formal welcome marked an important moment in the strengthening of diplomatic relations between the Ghana and St. Kitts and Nevis. It underscored a shared commitment to expand cooperation in areas such as education, trade, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
