Zimbabwe: The President of Zimbabwe – Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, arrived for the much-anticipated World Governments Summit 2024 at the Maktoum International Airport in Dubai on Feb 12, 2024.

There, President Mnangagwa was welcomed by UAE’s representative in Harare – Ambassador Jassim Muhammad AI Qasimi and Zimbabwe’s representative in Abu Dhabi – Ambassador Lovemore Mazemo.

Observing the complex challenges upon which the world grapples, the summit has decided on ‘Shaping Future Governments’ as its theme.

President Mnangagwa was joined by several delegates of Zimbabwean officials included the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade – Frederick Shava.

The joining of the summit is an embarkment of a journey of President Mnangagwa that promises to shape future governments and will inspire the upcoming generations.

The World Governments Summit 2024 brings together visionaries, policymakers, and influencers from across the globe. The officials there engage in thought-provoking discussions.

Workshops are also arranged as the leaders seek to identify groundbreaking solutions to pressing issues from climate change to economic inequality.

Acting President Kembo Mohadi and Vice President Constantino Chiwenga saw the President off at the Robert Mugabe International Airport late last night.

The summit will also enable governments to identify innovative solutions to inspire and empower the next generation of governments.

Notably, the President will also attend and deliver the keynote address at the Maldives Investment Forum which will be held on Feb 13, 2024 in Dubai, UAE.
