South Africa: Four men in a white VW Polo sedan with an NU registration are being sought for two separate robberies that occurred on Marula Circle in Trenance Park – KZN a short while ago (Thursday).
Residents got this news via multiple calls from the public reporting a shootout in the area. After getting this news, all the Reaction Officers immediately went to the location and reached there at approximately 10:08.
Recently, it was found that the occupants of the VW Polo robbed fibre installers for spades and picks before they entered a property and held a family, including three children aged between 4 & 7.
As per reports, robbers asked for cell phones, jewellery and cash, and they faced difficulty from the fibre installers who attempted to confront them.
The suspects stole two Huawei cell phones from the residence before they exited the house and fired shots at the construction company employees. One 9mm bullet & a spent cartridge were recovered at the scene.
Moreover, no injuries were reported, but incidents like these are very common.
Last year, in November similar incident, occurred when suspects robbed two jewellery stores at the Phoenix Plaza on Parthenon Street in Phoenix. However, they fled safely in their white VW Polo and an A-Class Mercedes-Benz. And surprisingly, both vehicles were registered with NUR registration plates.
The robbers fired multiple shots as they made their way towards the exit. Several 9mm rifle cartridges were recovered at the scene.
