KwaZulu Natal (Trenance Park): Four (4) Rection Unit Officers are seeking men after they robbed the driver of a bus and his passengers on Madrona Drive in Trenance Park – KZN on Monday morning.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 10:48 and met with the driver. He explained that four (4) men entered the bus before producing firearms and knives. They robbed him of cash, his wallet and his cell phone.
Further, he said, his passengers were also robbed of their valuables. The robbers thereafter fled on foot. Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspects, but no arrests were made.
Robbery in Trenance Park is very common nowadays; Yesterday also, Reaction Unit Members responded to a call for assistance where an individual was trying to gain entry into a home. Upon arrival, the suspect had run into the bushes nearby.
The suspect had pepper-sprayed a woman and her three children. A phone and a watch were taken before the suspect fled the scene.
RUSA officers also urged residents to be on high alert as criminal activity is on a high rise. Murder, Roberry, is at its peak right now in KwaZulu Natal.
Residents are in deep shock and praising their old days when they were safe and the crime rate was zero. “One of the residents said that during the old times, we felt safe and moved freely without thinking about crime. At least we can move anywhere freely, and especially to the game shop. Those days were the best days of our lives, and we didn’t even know it.”
According to another user or resident, “This incident occurred on Madrona Drive by the Tank; the picture was just taken there. However, Tranance Park is a mess nowadays. People should just avoid going there for their own safety.”
