The programme’s goal is to continue contributing to the development and capacity building of the next generation of mediators, particularly women in Africa from the government sector.

The training programme serves to contribute to the institutionalization of conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation skills, the building of a database of trained officials who could support the role of political principals during mediation missions, to serve as a platform for networking and the sharing of best practices amongst senior African women diplomats and peace-builders.

The programme is supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, and prominent South African and international experts and trainers in the field of Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Resolution are leading the programme.
