Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire, the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, expressed satisfaction with the turnout of Saint Lucians at the different events during the first weekend of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival which started on May 5 with grand celebrations at Mindoo Philip Park.
As per reports, the opening night on May 5 was amazing, and people performed well on the opening night with an electrifying and contagious energy. The event management team said, “It was an unforgettable night that left everyone delighted .”
The Jazz and Arts Festival is considered the best music festival in the Caribbean and provides opportunities for young talent in the country where everyone comes together to celebrate and support the musical youth.
Meanwhile, Saint Lucia Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire also hailed the return of Jazz and Arts Festival to Mindoo Philip Park. As he stated, this festival reminds him of his old memories.
Further, he asserted, “Over the weekend, there were special events in Babonneau, Desruisseaux, and Soufriere that provided distinctive experiences.”
On Sunday morning, the launch of the Arts in the City programme at the Central Library was impressive. The Arts component has turned the city centre into a creative hub for the week, and the Minister expressed excitement for the upcoming events.
The Deputy PM of Saint Lucia said, “Castries will be transformed as a creative platform that sets the ambience for an interactive, cross-cultural journey of artwork from local, renowned and burgeoning artists.”
Because of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, the City of Castries will become a gallery space that contains modern and contemporary genres that span visual, auditory and performing pieces.
The Jazz and Arts Festival deliver the world’s best entertainment, art and culture and gives a platform for the citizens to enjoy. Not only its a platform to enjoy, but it also offers opportunities for the business people to earn revenue to sustain their livelihoods.
