Saint Lucia Tourism achieves 99% recovery as compared to 2019: Ernest Hilaire

Saint Lucia: Dr Ernest Hilaire, the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, expressed his happiness in announcing the 2022 Visitor Arrival Performance of the country. He stated that the Stay Over Arrivals in 2022 amounted to 84% of the figures recorded in 2019 and 179% of the Stay Over Arrivals recorded in 2021.

Saint Lucia: Dr Ernest Hilaire, the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, expressed his happiness in announcing the 2022 Visitor Arrival Performance of the country. He stated that the Stay Over Arrivals in 2022 amounted to 84% of the figures recorded in 2019 and 179% of the Stay Over Arrivals recorded in 2021.

He also said that in 2022 US market had a record-breaking year surpassing 2019 stay-over arrivals by 10%. They also achieved a 99% of recovery of 2019 appearances, a full 2.5 times more than in 2021.

Saint Lucia Minister of Tourism, Dr Ernest Hilaire, always make sure that the tourist who visits Saint Lucia always get a lifetime experience during his/her visit to the nation so that they have a chance to come back again.

Alternatively, the Saint Lucian authorities are taking steps to promote their country’s tourism industry by attending conferences and engaging in discussions with people from around the world. Recently, they held a press conference highlighting Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts, the upcoming implementation of an online Embarkation/Disembarkation form starting March 1, 2023, and the assessment of the tourism performance for 2022/2023.

Following the press conference, the 2022/2023 Tourism Performance Appraisal results came out, which were much better than expected. The Ministry of Tourism of Saint Lucia is determined to enhance these results by this year’s end to ensure that the industry is always thriving and that more visitors come to the island nation for their vacations.
