Botswana: The Setshege Tapela foundation generously donated a set of library books to 21 schools in the Tonota district. The aim of the donation was to encourage the students of the district to enhance reading skills among students.
The Tonota District Council shared some details as well as glimpses from the event on their social media. The officials of the foundation have been working hard to introduce a culture for reading culture among the students.
The reading habits will serve to carve out the personality of the youngsters and give the youngsters something useful and informative to engage in. The leaders have shared that the members of the community have appreciated the foundation for their donation.
The members of the community shared that they are happy to note that the organization is keeping the welfare of the students in mind. The officials have shared that the gesture was met with gratitude and appreciation.
The Setshege Tapela foundation said that the donation will undoubtedly benefit both teachers and students in their academic journey. In addition to the books, Setshege Tapela Foundation also donated four trophies.
Two of these trophies were awarded to the education department and the other two to the Environmental Health department. The Tonota District Deputy Council Chandapiwa Mpolokang was present at the handover of the library books and trophies.
During a ceremony to mark the donation, the Deputy Council Secretary expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Tapela. She called the donation a benevolent act and appreciated the gesture which would shape the future of several youngsters.
The Setshege Tapela Foundation was happy to make the donation which would support the internal goals of the educational institute The school heads were encouraged to fully utilize the library books to enrich the learning experience.
The donation will also help the school foster a culture of reading and knowledge sharing within the schools.
