South Africa: A pedestrian sustained moderate injuries after he was run over on the south bound lane of the R102 between Verulam & Ottawa – KZN this morning (Friday).
According to the reports of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), they got the information after one of the passing motorists contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) team at approximately 07:51 requesting assistance for the man who was lying on the road.
When the team of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) team arrived at the crime location, they found that the pedestrian was struck by a maroon Chevrolet Aveo.
As per the reports of a doctor that he is in stable condition now, and he was treated at the crime scene by Paramedics from the Provincial Ambulance Service. However, traffic was also limited to a single lane.
The occupants of the vehicle, which included an 11 year old girl were not injured.
On the same day, the same kind of incident also occurred where two vehicles were extensively damaged following a head on collision on the R102 at the entrance of Canelands – KZN a short while ago (Friday).
The whole team of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) also arrived when they got the information, and they reached there at approximately 08:53.
The collision occurred between a white Hyundai Atos and a silver Renault Sandero Stepway with extensive front end damages located several meters apart at the robots.
According to the Reaction Unit South Africa team interview that everyone who was in the car was safe, including the driver of the car.
However, the reason behind the accident is still not known, and further details will soon be shared.
