Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew participated in the Wreath Laying Ceremony, which happened on Sunday, 30 April 2023, at 2:30 afternoon. However, the country is also celebrating Labour Day Weekend.
Dr Drew offered a sincere tribute to Comrade C.F Bryant, who had passed away. C.F Bryant previously served as a St Kitts and Nevis Minister of Education and Minister of Health in the nation. PM Drew acknowledged the significant impact that Comrade Bryant had made on the country.
St Kitts and Nevis PM Drew shared this news with the citizens through his social media handle. PM Drew wrote: The people to attend the ceremony broadcasted live via the media channels of the government, such as the official YouTube and Facebook pages of the country.
In the ceremony, PM Drew shared his opening remarks in which he stated, “We are here at the Comrade C.F Bryant, who served as a Minister of Education and Minister of Health for our country, and we cannot ignore his efforts, achievements and good deeds he performed for the nation. He was one the strong pillar of the country and especially for the health department of the country.
Furthermore, PM Drew asserted that the late Comrade C.F Bryant also served as a Parliamentary Representative of Constituency number eight of St Kitts and Nevis. He excellently performed his duties and responsibilities towards the people.
“Not only this, but he also served as an essential part of the Cabinet of the country’s oldest political party, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) and Trade Labour Union (TLU) in establishing the Labour Movement,” he stated.
At the Wreth lying ceremony, PM Drew recalled all the accomplishments and contributions made by the Late C.F Bryant, former Minister of Education and Health, stating, “We must never forget the valuable service to the nation.”
PM Drew also stated, “As an organization, we will always remember the contributions of the members who always do best for the country’s welfare and especially for the SKNLP Party.”
