Botswana: Molepolole police have received the reports of a suicide incident at Maanage Lands. The deceased was found hanging on the tree after he had been missing from his home for more than 24 hours.
A passerby found the victim’s dead body and immediately alerted the people of the neighbourhood. The incident was further reported to the Police Force and the investigations into the incident have started.
The station commander Superintendent Jacob Molapong has shared the details of the Maanage lands incident with the media. According to the reports, the incident was reported to the police force on Friday.
The investigating officers contacted the family of the deceased and interviewed them to understand the circumstances. However, the officials revealed that the preliminary investigation did not reveal anything that could help them get to the bottom of the incident.
The officials have shared that the 27 years old victim did not leave any suicide note before he left the house on Thursday. The police force continues to investigate the matter and interrogate other friends and family.
The body of the deceased will be released for the final rites after conducting the postmortem at the Scottish Livingstone Hospital mortuary.
The law enforcement authorities believe that the suicide might have been instigated due to mental health issues. However, no concrete proof has confirmed this belief.
Mental health has emerged as one of the biggest reasons for suicide attempts in the world.
