As per sources, that was an old woman who used a wheelchair, and she was asleep in her house when a suspect accosted her in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to the police spokesperson ‘Motlafelo Mojapelo,‘ the man forcefully entered the house with the help of a window and raped the elderly woman before fleeing the scene.
Later, the family of the victim reported the matter to the Police on the same day, after the victim’s granddaughter went into her room to check on her and made a shocking discovery. A case of rape was opened, and Police immediately started investigations.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has sent a strict warning against the perpetrators of gender-based violence following this shocking incident.

It is totally based on the family to protect their elders by preventing such disturbing incidents.
Motlafelo said the police investigation into the incident continues.
