South Africa: General Officer Commanding Headquarters 43 South African Brigade, Brigadier General M.A. Mantshiyane, officially opened Exercise PHIRIMA at Ben Viljoen training area in Phalaborwa, Limpopo on 09 June 2023.

South Africa: Republic of South African Contingent, which comprises 10 South African Infantry Battalion, Tactical Intelligence Unit, Air Medical Evacuation Team, Republic of South Africa Quick Reaction Force and Composite Helicopter Unit deployed in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, had the privilege of receiving the South African Chief of Joint Operations Division, Lieutenant General S.L. Sangweni and his team.

South Africa: The United Nations mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) has a mandate which includes the protection of civilians, especially women and children. In line with this mandate, On February 17, 2023, the Republic of South Africa Quick Reaction Force I deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo in Beni, Mavivi Village, deemed it fit to engage with the local population through a Civil-Military Cooperation project at the Republic of South Africa Quick Reaction Force Base.

South Africa: Colonel Johannes Kwena Morake, the South African Army Artillery Formation Chief of Staff, has arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo to begin his tour of duty as the newly appointed Force Intervention Brigade MONUSCO Deputy Commander, whereby upon arrival, Colonel Morake paid a courtesy and sympathy visit to the victims of bomb blasting at Beni General Hospital on Monday.

South Africa: On December 20 2022, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General and Head of MONUSCO, Bintou Keita, welcomed the adoption of two resolutions by the Security Council.
