Tanzania, Africa: Engineers without borders Israel-Tel Aviv’s delegation, on November 10, 2022, visited an Italian Non-Government Organisation (NGO) – Oikos.

While sharing information regarding the ‘amazing’ visit, the organisation took social media and stated, “In our recent delegation to Tanzania, we had an amazing opportunity to visit and learn about the ongoing projects of Oikos, the Italian NGO. The Tanzanian team of Oikos is working on large-scale water projects using solar energy to pump and distribute water to villages and communities in rural areas with no access to clean water.”

According to the post, the organisation had a chance to learn a new set of green technologies and explore new opportunities to collaborate on future projects. It furthermore explained that this visit had helped the organisation in opening new horizons and knowing how this kind of project changes the lives of entire communities and how we can contribute to achieving these goals.

Earlier, Engineers without borders Israel-Tel Aviv visited the new water quality laboratory in Babati, which was donated by Oikos and one of their partners. The organisation informed that the laboratory is operating under the Ministry of Water and has the capability to test various physical, chemical, and biological parameters.

Additionally, the firm mentioned the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the authorities associated with the project and said, “As agreed in the MOU, the laboratory will perform quarterly water quality tests for our systems in Babati District.”
