Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis hosted a cocktail and dinner event for BPW International. St Kitts and Nevis recently played host to the members of the BPW team who travelled to the federation for a Congress .
The Prime Minister announced that he was delighted to host the event alongside his wife, Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew. The ambassador and first lady of St Kitts and Nevis welcomed the team of BPW warmly.
The dinner and cocktail event was attended by many national leaders. The Congress that preceded the cocktail event was attended by delegates and members from more than 90 nations.
The aim of the BPW International Congress is to address the important Internationally relevant issues. The topics under discussion included gender equality, woman empowerment and more.
St Kitts and Nevis was fortunate enough to be the first nation to host the BPW International Congress. 350 members from 72 countries travelled to the federation for the Congress .
St. Kitts Marriott Resort and the Royal Beach Casino served as the venue for the evening festivities. The Governor general of St Kitts and Nevis, Marcella Liburd was also one of the attendants of the event. Dr. Catherine Bosshart, President of BPW International who is completing her tenure in 2024 officially invited the members and the guests to the XXXI BPW International Congress.
The St Kitts Edition of the Business and Professional Women’s International Club was honored to be chosen as the host of the 30th edition of the Congress. The network, which boasts partners in 100 nations across the globe has created history by hosting the congress in a Caribbean island nation.
The St Kitts wing of the Business and Professional Women was inaugurated on May 16, 1975. The organization office is situated at ‘Fairview Inn’ with an initial membership of 24 women. Ever since the beginning of the programme, the BPW club has enjoyed many years of vibrancy and success.
