Kenya: Mark Senteua paid a courtesy call to Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba at his office in Talanta Plaza, Headquarters. The meeting took place on Wednesday, February 14.
The Head of Marketing and Customer Care at Vivo Energy Kenya has expressed that he was happy to meet the Cabinet secretary and discuss collaboration. Sentehua has pledged support to the Kenya Motorsports industry.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Creative Economy shared some images from the courtesy call and meeting on their social media. The Cabinet Secretary welcomed the Head of Marketing and Customer Care warmly in his office.
He appreciated the role of shell energy in the development of the country’s motorsports sector.
CS Ababu noted that Shell Energy has been part of the Motorsport activities and their commitment to social responsibility is commendable. “This is a promising collaboration between Government and corporate entity that will help improve and promote sports in our country.”
“Through this partnership, we envision a range of initiatives from sponsoring local sports events to supporting grassroots talent as part of the Government’s BETA Agenda.” Noted CS.
Vivo Energy plans to get back into Motorsport, through supporting the young upcoming drivers as well as ladies in Motorsport. He was happy to be assured of the support of the organization for the motorsports industry of Kenya.
The ministry has been dedicated to bringing the motorsports industry of the country to the forefront. They are also encouraging youngsters to venture into the motorsports industry.
CS Ababu applauded Senteu for the commitment and support noting that investing in young talent at an early age is part of the #TalantaHela initiative of identifying, nurturing and monetising talents.
“I am eager to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we can best leverage this partnership especially as we plan to launch the rally school, we look forward to working closely with VIVO energy in supporting and growing this project. Let us work together to make sports more accessible, inclusive and impactful.” he said.
