KwaZulu Natal (Waterloo): Two Woman residents of Waterloo – KZN were brutally stabbed by angry men ahead of cheating. This incident occurred on Saturday afternoon on Mgabadeli Road in Phase 6, Waterloo.
Residents of Waterloo called the Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) and reported the incident, and the team of RUSA came within minutes, after receiving multiple calls for assistance.
According to the RUSA officer, when they came, the matter was serious, and they sent the females to the hospital for first aid.
According to a witness, a man in his twenties confronted his girlfriend at her home regarding infidelity. In a fit of anger, he grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her before forcing her to accompany him to his residence across the road. The suspect continued stabbing the female when his mother interjected.
The blade of the knife used in the stabbing broke during the attack. The enraged male after that, shattered a glass bottle and stabbed his mother in the arm.
Furthermore, the witness said his older uncle came in between and tried to block the male with his wheelchair, but the suspect assaulted him and his 76 grandmother, who also tried to intervene. After that, the man damaged all the windows before he fled on foot. Reaction Officers are currently attempting to locate the suspect.
The public is demanding the man and appealing to the RUSA officers to find him. One of the residents said, “Can RUSA please find him, take him back to the community and then call the police to come to control the situation? By the time they get there, he will be no more. Police do take their time, and in this case, it will be favourable to the community. Thank you as you will consider my suggestion.”
What was the root cause? Promiscuity! As much as why all want to tiptoe around the fact that actions have consequences, the cold fact is that this could have been avoided; I’m not condoning his actions. But if people really want to end this scrimmage, they need to address the root cause. It’s easy to say his actions are vile and ignore the root cause, but the reality is that if we continue on this path, we will never stop this sort of violence, said another user.
