Zambia: The Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Deputy Commander and Chief of Air Staff, Maj Gen Oscar Nyoni, made a follow up inspection of the Kapotwe Chintu Non Commissioned Training School in ZAF Samora Tuesday, 5 September 2023.
The purpose of the visit was to have first hand information on the readiness and progress the School has made for the forthcoming training of recruits.
The ZAF Deputy Commander and Chief of Air Staff expressed happiness at the progress made and said that he is confident all will be in place for the commencement of the training.
He has charged that everything needs to be done in order for proper military training to be conducted.
”The preparations so far look good, and I am confident all will be in place for the commencement of the training. There should be no room for compromise, let’s ensure we put in place all the remaining requirements so that the military training is up to standard,” directed the Deputy ZAF Commander.
Speaking at the same event, ZAF Samora Station Commander Col Oliver Bwalya assured the ZAF Deputy Commander that the School was ready to host the recruit’s training as Ninety percent (90%) of the work had been completed.
While in Mbala, Maj Gen Oscar Nyoni took time to visit the ZAF farms, where he placed emphasis on one of ZAF’s peace time roles of ensuring food security.
In that regard, ZAF Deputy Commander said ZAF has embarked on the expansion of the already existing farms in order to contribute to the national food basket.
