Zambia’s senior national men’s football team, Chipolopolo started the preparation for the next 2026 Group E FIFA World CUP Qualifier match. They will face the football team of Niger, away from their home turf in Morocco.

The qualifier matches have already started and the team of Zambia has faced their first opponent on Friday, November 17, 2023. The match with Congo Brazzaville ended in a resounding victory for Zambia.

After opening the qualifiers with a win, the Chipolopolo are determined to continue the streak of victories in the other matches. Accordingly, they have started preparing for the next match in the resort city of Marrakech.

The team will face their second opponent, Nigeria on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

The coach of the Zambia team, Chipolopolo Avram Grant and his technical staff ran the boys through an intense session of training. The practice started at the Grand Stade Marrakech Annex 3 Stadium the morning on Monday, November 2f dawn.

The Media Team of Football Association Zambia shared selected images from the training camp in Marrakech.

The boys were at home as they were practicing in relatively cooler evening temperatures. The coolness of the air motivated them to practice hard. Zambia will play Niger on Tuesday, with the Grand Stade Marrakech serving as the venue. The match will begin at 9:00 PM CAT (Zambian time).

The Chipolopolo won their opening Group E match against Congo Brazzaville via a resounding 4-2 result. The fans of the team were present in large numbers to support their idols when they faced their first opponents.

The turnout for the home turf match was extremely high which boosted the confidence of the team and led them to give their best to secure this victory. Many of these will not be present at the venue of the second match to support the team in person.

However, the fans and admirers of the football shared their best wishes to the team through social media. Niger is using Morocco as its home base as they have no FIFA approved stadium in their country.
