Zambia: The Chipolopolo have left for Saudi Arabia for their Pre-AFCON International camp, they Left Zambia on Tuesday night.

The team will set up base in Jeddah, where they will play two international friendly matches as part of the build-up for the tournament that starts on January 13 in Ivory Coast.

The team left aboard through Emirates Airlines, which will connect to Jeddah. Zambia is in Group F alongside Tanzania, Morocco, and Congo DR. The Chipolopolo’s opening match starts on January 17 against Congo.

As per the Coach of the Football Association of Zambia, Chipolopolo is all ready for the Africa Cup of Nations 2024.

The coach also said, “Chipolopolo have continued their preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (to be played in 2024) with a morning training session at the National Heroes Stadium.”

Coach Avram Grant said he and his technical staff were very hard at work, with the players taking a gruelling session preceding their departure for Jeddah.

He also shared the schedule of the team, where he said that the team flies out tonight for Saudi Arabia, where they will be holed up for ten days before heading to San Pedro.

As per the reports, the opening match is on January 17, and the first match is going to be held against Congo before facing Tanzania four days later, with the final group match on January 24 against the Atlas Lions.
