Zimbabwe is participating in the 2026 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo in Hong Kong, that is taking place from June 18 to 22, 2026. At the event it will engage with global industry leaders, investors, manufacturers and innovators in the automotive, technology, logistics and mobility sectors.
The Zimbabwean delegation comprises of officials from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, the Airports Company of Zimbabwe (ACZ) and the Central Mechanical Equipment Department (CMED). The delegation is exploring emerging trends and strategic opportunities in electric vehicles (EVs), along with e-mobility, intelligent transport systems, sustainable logistics and next-generation mobility solutions. All these sectors align with Zimbabwe’s vision of developing a modern, efficient, sustainable and interconnected transport network.
According to the Ministry, the Expo provides a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, technology transfer, investment promotion and the establishment of strategic partnerships. This will further contribute to the modernisation of Zimbabwe’s transport infrastructure, in enhancing industrial capacity and accelerate economic transformation.
Zimbabwe’s participation in this event underscores Government’s commitment to embrace innovation, promote sustainable transport solutions and will position the country as a competitive investment destination within the regional and global mobility ecosystem.
This engagement further comes as the country continues to pursue infrastructure development and modernisation initiatives that aims at improving connectivity, efficiency and sustainability across the transport sector.

Executives, business leaders and senior officials made the remarks on Thursday, June 19, 2026 at the opening of the 2026 International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong). The event is running under the theme “Powered in China, Launched from Hong Kong”. The five-day event has drawn leading manufacturers from the world’s largest vehicle producer and exporter.
Chief Executive of Hong Kong – John Lee Ka-chiu said that the city’s research edge has combined with the innovation resources and is manufacturing strengths of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will also provide strong support for the development of the automotive industry and related technology companies.
