Cape Town: City will be observing the 46th Loeries Creative Week. The premier creative event will be taking place across Africa and the Middle East. It will be hosting multiple events from October 07 to 11, 2024.
Mother City has been home to the festival for the last four years and this year also it will be observing it for continuous five days.
The festival is the largest gathering of Africa and the Middle East’s brand communications and creative industry. The event also recognises creative excellence in the field of advertising and brand communication industry. It also extends rewards, inspires and foster them.
Loeries Creative Week will host bulk of festivities at the two iconic landmarks such as City Hall and the Homecoming Centre, in District Six. City Hall will be the judging hub for the Loeries Awards for three days between October 07 and 09, 2024.
The Grand Old Dame will also host two nights of Loeries Awards on Thursday, October 10, 2024 and Friday, October 11, 2024.
The Homecoming Centre will host a number of events from October 09 to 11, 2024 including a public expo, a Loeries Student Expo, creative masterclasses and an international seminar of creativity.
Member of the Mayoral Committee for Safety and Security – Alderman JP Smith said that the City of Cape Town is partner with the Loeries over the last four years and has been a wonderful showcase of creative sector in Africa and the Middle East. It has also made significant contributions to the economy of Cape Town.
Alderman Smith added that over the three editions, people who will be attending the Loeries Creative Week have directly spent more than R94 million, which were combined during their stay in the city.
He added that the three editions have had an overall impact of R139 million on GDP of Cape Town. “We are looking forward to welcome all the creatives to the city for 2024 and are sharing ideas on how to further grow the creative industry,” said JP Smith.
