Malawi: Apostle Clifford Kawinga of Salvation for all Ministries has donated bags of maize to food-insecure households in Traditional Authority Chikowi in Zomba. The donation will help the communities in getting access to food in the communities affected by shortages.
The people of the communities have shared their appreciation to the organization for their noble gesture. Apostle Clifford Kawinga has been supporting and assisting the people of the country who are in a vulnerable position.
The organization has also supported the football teams of Malawi who have done well in their sport and deserve support and recognition for their efforts.
One of the beneficiaries, Tiyanjane Saidi, from Penulo Village, said the importance of the donation by Salvation for All Ministries cannot be overemphasised.
“We are advanced in age and during this period (October to March) we usually run out of food. You can ask around, people don’t have food due to challenges we met last year including the torrential rains induced by Cyclone Freddy, but today surely, we are eating due to this donation,” said the seemingly happy elderly woman.
In his remarks, Apostle Kawinga said Christ showed compassion to the elderly, the sick and children.
“We are following what Christ used to do. Feeding the vulnerable and the voiceless,” said Apostle Kawinga.
According to Apostle Kawinga, 2000 households have benefited from the donation.
The ministry has also supported vulnerable households in Machinga District. Many of these beneficiaries were internally displaced after natural disasters, including torrential rains induced by Cyclone Freddy.
The farmlands of many communities were destroyed due to the disasters, causing food insecurity and other issues.
The people of the country have also extended their support and appreciation to the Salvation for All Ministries for their noble gesture. The people took to their social media accounts to appreciate the ministry and call their actions sensible and timely.
