Zambia: Zambia U17 Women’s National Team coach Carol Kanyemba announced the list of the 34-member provisional squad yesterday on Monday.
This 34-member provisional squad has entered camp in Lusaka in order to prepare for the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup second round back-to-back qualifiers against Tanzania next month.
Kanyemba has named 12 players from the provincial side that were assembled after the national trials involving all 10 provinces that played the All-Stars team at Sunset Stadium on 6 January 2024.
This year, Zambia will host Tanzania on 3 February before travelling for the away fixture a week later. The winner over two legs will face Uganda or Cameroon in the third round.
Three African teams qualify for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, to be held in the Dominican Republic after round four of the qualifiers.
Coach Carol Kanyemba also announced the list of her team in which she explained about her Goalkeepers, Defenders, Midfieders, Strikers, and all.
