Zimbabwe: The police force of Milnerton has received the reports of a fatal stabbing incident at the Algoa Road, Parkview. The deceased victim has been identified as William Daud. He was last seen while walking on Algoa Road when he was confronted by some suspects.
The criminals came out of the vehicle and stabbed him fatally in the head several times. The incident happened in the morning hours of Sunday and the neighbours tried to help the deceased. However, they were unsuccessful in their efforts and the victim was declared dead at the scene.
The Milnerton Crime Watch Trust revealed that the murder happened around 6:50 hours.
After the incident, the assailants went back to their white vehicle and fled the scene, driving towards Boundary Road. They also robbed the suspect of his mobile phone before leaving the neighbourhood.
As per the updates provided by the police force, the victim was walking to his work at the lagoon beach when the suspects approached him and attacked him. The suspects have not been identified as of yet however the investigations into the matter have started.
The police force has also spoken to the media persons and shared the details of the murder with the reporters. They confirmed that they are working on tracking down the suspects who are currently on the run.
Further, Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg informed the media that they have enlisted the help of the Milnerton detectives in investigating the murder. The incident has also stirred intense emotions within the people of the country.
The family friend of the suspect has revealed that the family of the deceased is in a state of deep shock. The deceased’s wife had recently lost her mother and the loss of her husband has shattered her.
The friends and family members of the deceased have shared their grief on the untimely departure of their loved one. The deceased is survived by three young children.
The Milnerton community has also set up an account for funds to help the members of the family to help with his funeral.
