Zambia: Sub Chief Mashika Mulenga of the Kaonde people in Solwezi District has applauded the government for increasing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocation. Thee officials have shared that the Constituency Development Fund has helped many organizations and public work initiatives function appropriately.
The funds allocated in the development of the police infrastructure of the district. The recent allocation of the Constituency development Fund has been utilized in the construction of the staff house at Mulenga Clinic.
The houses will help accommodate the staff, doctors and other members of the clinic. The development will help in improving the healthcare facilities of the nation. It has to be noted that the staff members are extremely happy to have the houses.
They consider this to be a positive gesture on the part of the nation. The officials have shared that the member of parliament for the constituency has been advocating for the development.
The Sub-Chief expressed happiness at the construction of a staff house at Mulenga Clinic using the 2022 CDF resources.
ZANIS reports that speaking when Solwezi Central Member of Parliament Stafford Mulusa paid a courtesy on him, Sub Chief Mulenga said he is happy that the government’s decision to decentralise resources is bearing fruits.
He said CDF should be embraced as it has brought development in the communities saying every ward has one or two projects of CDF.
And Mulenga Clinic In- Charge Emmanuel Chisanga said he is equally happy with the developmental projects that the government is implementing including the construction of the staff house.
Further Chisanga also appealed to Kivuku Ward Councilor Olivia Katanga and Mulusa to consider helping in addressing the situation by repairing the roof for the maternity wing at the clinic saying it leaks during the rainy season.
Mulusa commissioned the staff house valued at K318, 628.80, with a call on the community to guard the infrastructure.
