St Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew has shared an update on the MRI Building that is being constructed in the JNF General Hospital. The hospital will be able to provide better healthcare facilities to the members of the community once the building is complete and the machine is installed.

He highlighted that the ministry of Health has been working hard to make sure that the community can access the facilities which were not previous available. The officials have shared that it is the responsibility of the healthcare stakeholders to constantly upgrade the facilities.

The MRI Building, which will eventually contain the machine, is being constructed for the last several weeks. The Minister of Health, Dr Terrance Drew provided some updates regarding the development on his social media.

He shared images from the construction project. He highlighted that the stakeholders are working diligently to continue monitoring the progress of the construction.

He highlighted that the Health Ministry of St Kitts and Nevis has been working hard to make sure that the people don’t have to travel oversees to get access to health services. The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis led the Ministry of Health to make several new advancements to the sector.

In the last two years since PM Drew and his administration have introduced many new modernizations to the hospitals across the nation. Some of the new developments include the eye clinic which was stocked with new equipment under the Prime Minister’s leadership.

It is also to be recalled that the Ministry of Health procured Dialysis machines for the benefit of the  patients who had to previously travel outside the country to get access to this facility.  The Prime Minister was also proud to announce another similar development in the JNF General Hospital.

He was delighted to announce that there are now multiple ultrasound machines and endoscopes at JNF Hospital. He also highlighted that this is the largest number of machinery and equipment that the hospital has ever had in its history.
