Cape Town has proudly claimed the title of Africa’s Leading City Destination 2024 at the prestigious 31st World Travel Awards. The city has won several other categories too in which it was nominated.
The other categories in which Cape Town won the World Travel Awards are Africa’s leading Cruise Port: Port of Cape Town, Africa’s Leading Luxury Hotel: Cape Grace and Africa’s Leading Luxury Resort: One & Only Cape Town.
Mother City – Cape Town comes under top attraction sites for visitors. Despite of winning these, the city and its captivating tourist spots were nominated in numerous other categories, which included World’s Leading City Break Destination, World’s Leading City Destination, World’s Leading Seaside Metropolitan Destination along with World’s Leading Tourist Attraction: Table Mountain.
And not just this, it also included the categories World’s Leading Airport: Cape Town International Airport, World’s Leading Cable Car Ride: Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and World’s Leading Cruise Port: Port of Cape Town.
Furthermore, the 31st edition of World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony will take place in Portugal in November 2024.
Recently, the tourism royalty from across Africa convened at Diamonds Leisure Beach & Golf Resort at Diani Beach in Kenya for the World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony 2024 to recognize the travel organizations, which are pushing the boundaries of excellence and innovation.
World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the excellence across all key sectors. The sectors include travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
