Zimbabwe: Member of Parliament – Mutsa Murombedzi shared an official post related to missing of a young boy into a game park. It has turned out as a miracle that the boy is safe and has not been harmed by any wild animal in the safari park.
Reportedly, the incident is of Zimbabwe’s famous Matusadonha Game Park which is visited by the travellers frequently to see wild animals and wild life. It is a popular tourist spot which mostly remains busy and is protected by the government.
In her post shared on X, Murombedzi wrote, “A true miracle in remote Kasvisva community, Nyaminyami in rural Kariba, a community where one wrong turn could easily lead into a game park. An 8-year-old Tinotenda Pudu wandered away, lost direction & unknowingly headed into the perilous Matusadonha game park.”

She further narrated that the boy has found alive after 5 long harrowing days in the jungle by the efforts of incredible rangers from Matusadona Africa Parks, near the Hogwe River, which feeds into Ume River. “The boy might have been wandering 23 Km from home, may be sleeping on a rocky perch, amidst roaring lions and passing elephants. He might also be eating wild fruits and just the unforgiving wild is too much for an 8 -year-old little boy,” added the minister.
Murombedzi expressed that they are overwhelmed and want to extend their gratitude to the brave park rangers as well as the tireless Nyaminyami community who didn’t forget to beat night drums each day to get the boy hear sound and get the direction back home and also to that every person who joined the search. “Above all, we deeply thank God for watching over little boy Tinotenda and leading him back to home safely,” mentioned the MP. She said that this is a great and true example of the power of unity, hope, prayer and never giving up.

Further Mutsa Murombedzi has given update on young boy Tinotenda Pudu who got lost and was found in lion infested Matusadonha Game Park. She took the initiative and reached to the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the Provincial Medical Director.
Considering this, she stated, “I engaged with the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the Provincial Medical Director for Mashonaland West called me regarding Tinotenda’s well-being after his harrowing experience.”
She explained that they have assured her that the boy has rested and was stabilized, a mental health team will soon assess the boy, focusing on his mental health to ensure that he has not suffered any lasting fearful trauma.
Member of Parliament Mutsa Murombedzi also said that as part of their advice, the team has strongly recommended that no interviews to be conducted with Tinotenda at this stage. Interrogating him too soon may risk triggering emotional or psychological distress. “We will respect their professional guidance and wait for green light before taking any further steps,” said Murombedzi.
Miracle story of fortunate Tinotenda Pudu in the Matusadonha game park has gone international. “As early as we get the green light from the health team of the Ministry, a proper media team will be arranged that can then descend to Nyaminyami, Kariba rural & see a true breathtaking wilderness,” emphasised Mutsa Murombedzi.
She highlighted, “I’ll continue to follow up and will ensure that Tinotenda receives all the care and support he needs during this recovery process. His mental well-being is our top priority.”
