Dominica: Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit appointed Loik Charles as new Special Assistant on Youth and Disability Affairs. He is a legally blind and exceptionally talented citizen of the nation and expresses great potential to lead the position.
Loik Charles will take over the office duties, officially beginning from Oct 01, 2025. His appointment represents a significant and meaningful step forward for the differently abled people in Dominica.
The appointment of new Special Assistant coincides with the International Day of Sign Languages which was celebrated during the International Week of the Deaf.
Considering his meeting with Loik Charles, PM Skerrit has shared glimpses on his official social media platform, and said that, he met with a young man, Loik Charles, who is legally blind.
He is exceptionally talented Dominican with huge potential, marked Dr. Skerrit. The Prime Minister of Dominica congratulated him and confirmed that Charles will join the Office of the Prime Minister as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on matters of Youth and Disability.
PM Skerrit further encouraged everyone to join and congratulated Loik Charles together on this important milestone and to support his efforts in fostering a more inclusive society.
