Dominica: Disney Magic cruise ship docked at the port and brought a wave of excitement and colour to the capital city Roseau. On the arrival of the ship visitors filled the streets and explored the world-famous eco-tourism sites.
The travellers arrived in the ship visited the majestic Trafalgar Falls to the tranquil Emerald Pool. The say also came alive along the Bayfront where the newly opened Bayfront Artisan Market showcased the rich craftsmanship of the island, its local culture and creative spirit.
The visit of Disney Magic passengers energised the city and reaffirmed Dominica’s standing as a leading eco-tourism destination in the Caribbean.
Disney Magic Cruise Ship
Disney Magic is the first ship in the Disney Cruise Line’s fleet, which was originally launched in 1998. The cruise features a classic ocean liner design with Art Deco and nautical decor, with a capacity for about 2700 passengers and offers various amenities for all ages, including pools, adult-only areas, live entertainment and themed dining. The ship has undergone refurbishments and offers a range of itineraries.
Amazing features that attract tourists
The design of the ship is similar to nostalgic ocean liner appearance with a navy-blue hull, red funnels and Art Deco-style interiors. The Disney Magic cruise ship has capacity for up to 2,713 passengers with a crew of approximately 950 in count.
The ship includes multiple pools, such as an adults-only pool area and water slides. There are also sports facilities and a jogging track on deck. It takes care of the entertainment of the passengers also and hosts live Broadway-style shows. It also has areas for kids, tween and teens as well as for adults.
The cruise ship features a variety of dining options that includes themed restaurants such as Rapunzel’s Royal Table, The Lumiere’s and casual spots like Pinocchio Pizzeria. The ship is unique from all as the horn plays a snippet of ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ and its lifeboats are bright yellow to match Mickey Mouse’s colours.
The Disney Magic sails and considers a variety of itineraries that includes trips to the Caribbean, Mexico and through the Norwegian Fjords. Recently, it has been scheduled for sailings in Australia and New Zealand, after Caribbean tour.
