St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party has received a permanent home. After 100 years of service to the people, SKNLP has received a new headquarter which will be home to every comrade, supporter, leader, whether in past and present who carried this movement forward.
The new permanent home of SKNLP is the result of all who contributed in big ways and small. It is their belief, sacrifice and their commitment that made this possible. Now they stand on their shoulders and finally have a place to call their own.
Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, while having a tour to the residence, recalled that in 2022, when the comrades of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party elected them as their leader. One of the biggest commitments that he made that time was to strive as much as possible by working with other members of the leadership, with comrades of the great party and to the most important was to get their own headquarters.
St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party is one of the pioneers in the English-speaking Caribbean nation. SKNLP is established since 1932, that means by God’s will in 2032, they will complete their 100 years. As members of the party they always speak of how long they have been in existence, which is a great achievement.
Dr. Drew thanked all the past leaders from Manchester, Bradshaw, Southwell, Limor, Douglas and all of the comrades who have contributed significantly to this party over these years.
He extended his gratitude for raising necessary resources together to own their property and call it the headquarters of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party. Drew stated that this is exciting, liberating and renewal to their great party.
PM Drew congratulated all for this achievement on receiving the headquarters. Finally, now they have a home, where they will collaborate, meet and build plans. SKNLP will make sure that the institution continues to get stronger. The new headquarter will serve as a place where they will come to fellowship and have fun.
He expressed that he is proud that he was able to fulfill the commitment with the support of the other members of the leadership. He presented gratitude to all who are in the administrative leadership, the chairperson and all of the deputy chairpersons and other members of the executive.
Drew affirmed that St. Kitts and Labour Party will continue to lead the political organisation in this country and will continue to be the oldest political organisation in the English-speaking Caribbean nation.
