St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew attended the 2nd Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit in Abuja, Nigeria. His visit forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between Africa and the Caribbean.
Relation between Africa and St. Kitts and Nevis mainly focuses on expanding opportunities in trade, investment, youth, development and cultural exchange. Also, the Government has reaffirmed its strong commitment to enhance opportunities for its citizens through deeper engagement with Africa.
These preparations advance the participation of St. Kitts and Nevis delegates in the 2nd Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit in Abuja, Nigeria. While delivering the national address, the Government outlined that this initiative represents a strategic step towards strengthening economic ties, fosters cultural reconnection and empowers citizens. Especially the youth of the nation, who will develop through global exposure and meaningful opportunity.
St. Kitts and Nevis federation has further emphasised that the programme reflects a bold and responsible investment in the future. It ensures that the people of the twin island are well-positioned to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and competitive global economy.
Considering his visit to Abuja, Prime Minister Drew expressed through his official social media handle and said that they are leading a strong delegation to Nigeria as they continue to advance the real opportunities for their people. He added that they are concentrating on partnerships that deliver results in investment, innovation, youth development and shared growth between Africa and the Caribbean. And this is how we are meant to move forward, said PM Drew.
The 2nd Annual Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit is being held under the theme “One Voice, One Vision: Advancing Afri-Caribbean Unity.” PM Drew is notably conjoined by the Minister of Agricultural et al – Samal Duggins, along with a close delegation of 70 individuals. This includes a strong contingent of young people, business representatives and stakeholders from across the St. Kitts and Nevis and the wider Caribbean region.
Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew further highlighted the growing global significance of Africa. He noted the demographic and economic potential of the continent and also reflected on the historical journey of Africa descended people. He urged for a united approach to shape the future.
The Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit is a great premier platform that continues to advance trade, investment, cultural exchange, and strategic partnerships between Africa and the Caribbean. It further reinforces shared vision of unity, prosperity and collective advancement.
