Since its opening in 2023, the AWS Skills Center has provided free cloud skills training to over 51,000 South Africans and are helping to build a future-ready workforce.

South Africa’s services sector is contributing 75.1% of national gross value added, with business services among the country’s largest and fastest-growing economic activities. Across Africa, telecommunications, computer and information services are among the fastest-growing service industries, which are reflecting increasing digital transformation and demand for technology-enabled services.
As per the sources, the Western Cape continues to offer investors a competitive business environment, strong digital infrastructure, access to skilled talent and a collaborative innovation ecosystem.

The company has maintained operations in the country for over 20 years and indicated that it intends to continue expand its investments.
This engagement also underscored the importance of cloud computing and artificial intelligence as foundational technologies for building future-ready economies and workplaces.
