Kenya: Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and the Creative Economy, Ababu Namwamba met the Mayor of Abobo, Cote d I’voire. Mayor Kandia Camara and Cabinet Secretary Namwamba discussed possible areas of partnership in sports and the creatives.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and the Creative Economy has been dedicated to the development of the sports and creative economy. The Cabinet Secretary has hosted several meetings with national and international partners to further the minister’s mandate.

While touring the Agora Abobo facility, now transformed into an AFCON’23 fanzone, the CS observed that the transformation was similar to Kenya’s #HustlaVillage, which provided the locals with a platform to trade, leveraging the pull of sports.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Ababo thanked the CS for the visit, committing to explore areas of partnership in sports and creatives for the youth of Abobo and Kenya.
