Pictures of what he was like before the matter started showed blood all over the left side of his face.
According to his lawyer, Saleem Halday, he was severely assaulted in the truck that transported him from Pollsmoor prison to the court.
According to Halday:
We suspect there are also fractured and damaged ribs as well.
Furthermore, he added that he needed urgent medical care.
In his interview, he stated that right now, his priority was to get Pangarker medical attention and then only he will decide whether to lodge a formal complaint or not.
According to Prosecutor Lenro Badenhorst, the attackers’ identity is still unknown.
He supported Halday’s request for immediate medical attention for the accused.
Pangarker faces plenty of charges besides that the rape & murder of Tazné. He also faces accusations relating to the alleged sexual assault of other children.
