Africa: Africa Weather Forecast launched its weekly summary (11 April – 16 April 2023) as per African weather reports, two cold fronts will keep the southern Cape and eastern parts partly cloudy, cool and wet during the week, becoming cloudy in the east later towards the weekend.
This morning, the cold front is in the northeast, delivering cloudy, cold and slightly wet conditions to the Lowveld and central Limpopo. High chance of light rainfall and very isolated thunderstorms in the Lowveld and central Limpopo.
On Wednesday (tomorrow), another cold front approaching from the west will incite strong NW winds over the central Northern Cape. Otherwise, fine and warm around midday over most of the country, with morning fog patches over the Lowveld. Medium chance of light rainfall over the Western Cape’s interior in the afternoon and evening.
The cold front will bring very light rainfall to the south coast and the southern Drakensberg, along with cooler temperatures to the adjacent southern interior on Thursday. Medium chance of moderate to strong winds over the central interior gusting at 30-40km/h.
High chance of cloudy and wet conditions from light rainfall along the south coast on Friday, accompanied by cooler conditions over the Western Cape and Eastern Cape. Otherwise, fine and warm over the central interior but hot in the Lowveld. Medium chance of light rainfall from scattered thunderstorms over KwaZulu-Natal and eastern Mpumalanga.
It’ll most likely be cloudy and cool in the east during the weekend, with a medium chance of light rainfall over the Lowveld on Saturday but transforming into widespread fog over the northeastern provinces on Sunday. Otherwise, fine and warm in the central and western interior throughout the weekend.
