Africa: Africa Weather Forecast launched its weekly summary (02 May – 07 May 2023); as per African weather reports, this first week of May, a cold front arriving in the southwest in the first part of the week extends a trough that initiates showers and thundershowers over the central interior at first and in the east midweek. Most of them, stifled by the upper air high moving east, storms will most likely remain dry and isolated.

Kenya: Today, the PS Forestry, Mr Ephantus Kimotho, presided over the launch of a tree planting drive by the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) Tumu Tumu parish, Nyeri County. The PCEA Church targets to plant 10 million trees within its various churches to contribute to the national target of growing 15 billion trees by 2032.
